You lost a SportsClips customer this evening. The haircuts at SportsClips are hit and miss in terms of success rate with about 1 in 5 being acceptable. Tonight I booked online, got to the store on time, and had to wait another 15 minutes. Once there I asked one of the two girls who gave me my last haircut because she had done a great job previously and she said it was Abby. Abby then proceeded to tell me it was Samantha after I had sat down with her. We then talked about the cut I wanted making it very clear that I wanted a one and a half on the side, but not to high, and about a quarter-inch off of the top while thinning it out and keeping the majority of the length. Abby then asked if I would like the one and a half on the side to just above the ears, blended into the top with a two, while only taking what I mentioned off of the top. I agreed that would be the right approach. It seems pretty straight forward as is always the case with me. I proceeded to get essentially what was a high and tight haircut with the one and a half running to my crown or higher and approximately an inch taken off the top after discussing this with her. I am not in the military and if I wanted that cut I could go somewhere and pay $10 or less for that. It was extremely disappointing and an all too often type of outcome. Your stylists often act as if they are listening well and then execute poorly. It was then time for checkout where I was charged $22.00 for a 'New Visitor MVP' cut which I did not receive, but proceeded to tip $7.00 which is less than my usual. I received a cut only. Nothing more and nothing less. The combination of all of the above has led me to believe that I should not get mine, or my son's, hair cut at SportsClips anymore, as we have done for the past several years, as there is zero consistency, with quality haircuts falling into the 20% range, too much turnover when there are quality stylists, and seemingly zero concern after the fact. Granted I am not the type to complain in general. Nor would I express it openly in your business when there are other customers. However, I will be sharing this same review on Google. It is unfortunate as it is convenient and your stylists have always been pleasant.
